A Journey to the Himalayan Mountains Canvass’s Santosa Retreat in Nepal is more than just a destination—it’s a transformative journey towards awakening, grounding, and abundant living. This retreat offers you the chance to not just witness the mystical beauty of this part of the world, but to immerse yourself fully, living in your truth while renewing your body, mind, and spirit.
We invite you to explore the harmonious lifestyle of one of the world’s most spiritually rich and pristine locations. This unique retreat is a carefully curated experience, designed to guide you through the depths of Himalayan culture, abundant living, and the art of self-care through energy healing, meditation, and ancient wisdom.
Location: A Peaceful and Spiritual Community
Our first retreat sanctuary is a hidden gem at Hotel Domaling, just 30 minutes from Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM). Here, you’ll discover a tranquil haven ideal for deep mindfulness and spiritual immersion. The hotel, a beautiful blend of traditional Himalayan architecture and modern comforts, is culturally respectful and charity-driven, with proceeds supporting the local community and preserving their culture. Just a 9-minute walk from the stunning Boudhanath Stupa, you’ll also enjoy easy access to a variety of cafes, restaurants, healing modalities, and shops.
For the second part of your retreat, we’ll transition to a stay at Kopan Nunnery, offering a more simplified and authentic experience. Unlike the luxury of Hotel Domaling, this stay focuses on living simply and comfortably, embraced by the warmth and care of the locals in this spiritual setting. We’ll prepare you for this experience, emphasizing centering humanity, maintaining deep connections, and engaging in impactful practices.
What to Expect During your stay, you’ll be gently guided through a series of enriching practices and activities:
- Cultural Living: Immerse yourself in Himalayan philosophy by visiting villages, creating sacred offerings, and experiencing the local way of life.
- Aura Manifestation: Reflect on what truly energises and fulfils you. Engage in journaling, guided by educational insights and exercises in vision boarding, coaching, and art therapy.
- Aura Kinetics (Fusion of Yoga, Tai Chi Gong and Reiki): Engage in daily energy healing movements that release blocked channels of tension, harmonise energy, and renew your vitality.

More about the practices:
- Aura Kinetics, designed by Jolie, is a powerful fusion of Yoga, Tai Chi Gong, and Reiki. This practice uses somatic exercises to harness kinetic energy, recalibrating movement patterns and consciousness. Through mindful breathwork and movement, you will awaken vitality, heighten awareness, and embody inner strength.
- Aura Manifestation is a journaling process designed by Jolie, integrating her extensive experience in the healing arts. This practice combines vision board exercises, coaching questions inspired by The Artist’s Way, manifestation techniques, and art therapy exercises. Through this process, participants are guided to explore their inner world, clarify their goals, and manifest their desires creatively, fostering personal growth and healing.
- Sound Healing is a non-intrusive sound journey to heal your senses in your autonomic nervous system (ANS), so that you may restore energy, rest deeply and become more in tune with your body, mind and your emotions. Through frequencies from an array of sound therapy instruments, energy flows to open and restore flow in the channels of your body.
- Reiki is a form of energy healing beyond words and gradually unfolds through personal experience. The Japanese word ‘reiki’ can be translated as ‘universal life energy’ and the Usui System is a way of working with reiki for healing of self and others. The word healing is used in the sense of regaining harmony and wholeness. Usui Shiki Ryoho addresses the whole person on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels and those that we cannot identify at the present.
- Sharing Circle and Oracle Card Reading provides a space for inner reflection, study discussions, and intuitive learning. Participants engage in meaningful conversations, guided by oracle cards, to uncover their inner magic and wisdom. This practice fosters deep reflection, shared insights, and a sense of belonging in a safe, private setting, promoting personal growth.
