Roots & Wings: A Slow Living & Purpose Camp

For children aged 7 to 13 | October 20-22

Mindfulness • Art • Play • Values • Giving Back

Dear Parents,

I’m Jolie, and I’ll be guiding your child through Roots & Wings – a gentle, creative 3-day camp designed to help children slow down, reconnect with what matters, and express themselves with purpose and joy.

Every child is unique – some are expressive, others more quiet or reflective. This camp meets them where they are, offering space to explore through mindful play, creativity, connection with nature, and values-based reflection.

Since 2019, I’ve also been supporting Tibetan refugee children and have personally visited their communities in India. This experience shapes the heart of the camp, as we integrate compassion and global awareness into the journey.

I look forward to sharing this meaningful experience with your child.

Warmly, Jolie

Focus Areas

  • Mindful movement & slow living practices
  • Creative exploration through watercolour art
  • Values discovery & felt-experience
  • Nature connection and sensory awareness
  • Acts of kindness & global empathy
  • 20% proceeds donated to Tibetan refugee children

Flexible Attendance Options

While the full 3-day journey is highly recommended for the depth and transformation it offers, we understand families may need flexibility.

You may choose to:

  • Join for all 3 days (recommended for full creative process & values experience)
  • Attend 1 or 2 individual days based on availability

Each day offers standalone value, but attending all 3 gives your child the chance to complete a beautiful watercolour painting that expresses their personal values — from idea to finished artwork — and participate in our giving ritual to Tibetan refugee children.

Cost Per Camp (including registration)

  • $150 per day
  • $450 for all 3 days (recommended)

Giving Back

Canvass will donate 20% of the camp fees to the Tibetan children village to help sponsor education for Tibetan refugees.

I’ve visited many children’s charities, each doing meaningful work with resources like libraries and medical supplies. But this Tibetan children’s village stands out. They don’t accept material donations. Instead, they focus solely on education. The children live simply, 8–10 in a home with one caregiver. Their parents, humble farmers in exile, sacrifice what little they have so their children can study here. The funds go directly to education, and the children are deeply motivated to learn and preserve their culture.

You can find out more about this cause by visiting the Tibetan Children Village website or Instagram.
